Half Way

Week 6, how did we get here. I’ve reached the half way point of my internship and it feels like it’s gone too quickly.

This weekend I went to the theatre to see Matilda, putting myself outside of my comfort zone by doing things like that by myself.

Week 7 has been a strange one with the office being busy with higher ups around and talks from the chief design officer Ross Richardson. The year long interns had their last day on Wednesday and everyone went out for drinks together. Great to chat to people outside of the work context. Couldn’t ask for nicer people to work with. Thursday and Friday were very strange without the other interns, the office felt really quiet. The new interns will be joining next week so it’ll be interesting to meet them all.

Something I’ve had to learn along the way and remember to do often is ask clarifying questions. It reduces your workload by ensuring you are on the right track while also helping you understand the task you have been given.

This weekend will be a good one. I’m looking forward to spending my birthday with my sister and her boyfriend going for dinner together and then to the cinema. On Sunday I hope to explore more of London during my 28 run and after it as well.

Over the course of the last 7 weeks I’ve really grown as a person, learning to put myself outside of my comfort zone in terms of trying new things and learning the meaning of being outrageously extraordinary.
